Jan Wood – Venue 23

I am a self-taught artist, with a particular preference to painting animals and birds in a range of styles. My preferred medium is watercolour, although I do use gouache and acrylics as well.

I have been drawing and painting from a young age and appreciate nature, wildlife and the countryside. I enjoy bringing out the fun in my chosen subjects. Every subject has its own character, and it is important to capture it in a painting.

I paint commissioned pets in bright colours that showcase the pets features and character.
